The Company
Though experiencing many changes in the business landscape since it's inception in 1991, Desktop Services has maintained its original commitment of maintaining the highest levels of customer service and quality.
Desktop Services' President, David Wheelock was an IBM man to start, literally, having served the giant corporation as customer engineer, systems engineer and marketing representative. Once in business for himself, he became interested in the power and versatility FileMaker solutions offered his customers. He learned quickly that applications written in FileMaker could be developed and deployed much quicker than if other technologies were used. This was a great benefit to the customer, since quicker development time allowed them to get up and run faster, while saving them money. Plus, the use of FileMaker allowed for seamless cross-platform solutions in mixed environments of Windows PCs and Macs.
In time, our experience and the capabilities of FileMaker have grown tremendously. Nowhere is this truer than in the Web arena. Today, through the use of FileMaker's built-in Instant Web Publishing and PHP Web programming, Desktop Services has developed many powerful web-based applications for its clients.
